First time visiting and Top Tier! Caramel Latte hot. I had mine with oatmilk and the wife had almond. Exceptional coffee and yes better than starbucks.
🤩 I love this place! Immediately upon entering you are greeted warmly by the baristas and staff. I ordered a Carmel latte expecting it to taste mediocre but to my pleasant surprise it was phenomenal. Not to mention they were also super fast in making the drink. I highly recommend this place if you’re passing through or if you’re a local. …
I had just finished a 2-day backpacking adventure along the Appalachian Trail and boy, this was the perfect place to visit after a very strenuous 15.5-mile hike. Located in the heart of Peekskill, this cafe had a huge inviting space with lots of atmosphere and homey decor. The place had a great vibe as soon as I entered with many customers enjoying both food and drink. The coffee was bold and full of flavor. When I ordered a pacing, the worker first warned me that it could be a 30-minute wait for that, so I ordered an Italia Crepe instead. It came with sundried tomato, pesto, and mozzarella and was delicious. The food menu consisted of several panini options, and savory and sweet crepes. There was a large coffee, espresso, tea, and smoothie menu. I liked the fact that if you place an order of $15 or more, they give you a quarter to win a prize from their special gumball machine at the checkout counter. Instead of a gumball, you receive a plastic ball with a mystery prize in it. Prizes can range from store discounts, free coffee, or various products such as hats and shirts with the Peekskill Coffee logo on them. I won a free cup of coffee, yeah baby! The cafe is so expansive that it wraps around to two sides at the corner of the street. There's a door that invites customers to come check out other indoor mom & pop shops. I love it when a business openly supports nearby businesses. This is good for everyone and the owners of this cafe get it. I live in South Brooklyn, so this cafe is quite far from me. However, if I ever visit Peekskill again, you can be sure that I'll come pay a visit to Peekskill Coffee.
My favorite coffee shop in Peekskill. Great tasting coffee and friendly staff.
I loved this place! Hidden gem for sure! There’s an art shop upstairs. You can find lay board games here. The menu is very big an diverse. The staff is super friendly!
We went a busy weekend. The service was quick as everything was made fresh. The people were friendly ans helpful. We found d a table quickly. We had to ask for our food to be To-go after we had decided to sit there and eat since some plans changed. They were very accommodating. We didn't get to eat until about 20 minutes later. Food was good. Would have been better if we weren't rushed. Not their fault. Want to go back and relax. Want to try more stuff on their menu.
The best part of my trip was going to this place. The staff were absolutely lovely and the food was great! The atmosphere and ambience were perfect. They also had a nice selection of board games, which is always a plus. And they have a mural of their long-time employees in the bathroom! If I lived nearby, I'd be here all the time.
Great little place!! The coffee is excellent, tons of panini and crepe choices (gluten-free and regilar) as well as muffins and other light bites. Relaxed, chill atmosphere with games you can borrow and vring to your table. Definitely worth a visit.
Peekskill Coffee House is the kind of place every river town hopes it has — welcoming, reliable, and worth becoming a regular at. In my opinion, it’s the most exciting stable coffee option for at least 15 minutes north or south of Peekskill. Honestly, not until you get up to Beacon do you find something truly comparable. The staff is consistently friendly, the coffee is excellent, and the entire atmosphere feels thoughtfully balanced. You can comfortably meet friends, bring your kids, sit down and work, or just quietly recharge with a drink. That versatility is harder to pull off than people think, and they do it really well. The only thing I’d love to see in the future is an alcohol license or a light evening transition at the happiest hours or as the sun goes down — especially given the proximity to the Paramount. Some of the best modern coffee houses subtly evolve into relaxed wine/cocktail space, and this place has the exact vibe to pull that off naturally. Either way, this is an easy 5/5 and one of the anchors of Peekskill’s city scene.
If you’re looking for a great, bustling coffee house to spend a Saturday morning, I highly recommend the Peekskill Coffee House. Situated right in the center of town, parking is perhaps, the only drawback. Street parking can be limited, but is a pretty easy walk to the cafe. Inside, there’s more than enough seating, offering privacy, or plenty of views of downtown. I was able to order quickly and the staff treats you like a friend. I ordered a large Vanilla Latte, and the “Berry Bomb” Crepes, both totaling a mere $15, which is excellent for the quality. I ordered my coffee extra hot, but the temperature was standard. I also would have liked my coffee to have more vanilla flavoring, as I couldn’t really taste it. My crepes however, were amazing. The berry compote was just the right amount of sweet, and my breakfast was light, but filling. While I live over an hour away in CT, I would be more than happy to stop by the Peekskill Coffee House again. There’s no questioning why its been a town staple for many years.
